Summer at Nativity Prep

Summer at Nativity Prep

Our students had a packed and full summer this year. Partnerships and generous support provided a summer experience at a value of $130,000 to our students. On the Tuesday following graduation, our students returned to school for a five-week algebra readiness camp from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day. This camp was made possible through a partnership with the California State University system.

After the algebra readiness camp, our students spent a week at the Elementary Institute of Science exploring a wide range of STEM content and lab activities. This experience was made possible through a partnership with Illumina. Finally, through the generous support of the YMCA of San Diego county, our 7th graders attended overnight camp at Camp Marston while the 8th graders spent the week at Camp Surf!

We also had opportunities for students to apply to attend summer camps through the Francis Parker School and The Bishop’s School. Both of these partnerships allowed students to experience life on a high school campus while also engaging in academic enrichment and camp activities.
