President’s Letter

Dear NPA Family,

At Nativity Prep, our students never cease to amaze. Beyond excelling in the classroom, they continuously surprise us with their hidden talents—whether it’s their graceful movements in folklórico dancing, their harmonies in the recently formed student choir, or their courage to speak in front of 400 people at an event with the mayor (yes, that actually happened!). These moments of brilliance remind us that education is not just about test scores or grades, it’s about developing the whole person–something Nativity Prep knows a thing or two about.

Each year, we see students step into new and sometimes unexpected roles, revealing gifts they may not have known they had. A quiet student finds their voice in public speaking. A reserved sixth grader discovers a passion for performing on stage. A first-generation college-bound scholar builds confidence not just in academics but in leadership and community engagement. These are the moments that remind us of the power of a Nativity Prep education.

This transformation doesn’t happen by chance. It’s the result of the intentional, tireless dedication of our teachers and staff, who create a space where students feel safe to explore their passions, step outside their comfort zones, and develop the confidence that will carry them through life. Our teachers invest deeply in each student, recognizing that success is built not just on academic achievement but also on social, emotional, and personal growth.

When a student finds their rhythm in dance, their voice in a choir, or their confidence in a speech, it’s not just about talent—it’s about the self-assurance they are building along the way. These moments matter because they shape character, resilience, and leadership—traits that extend far beyond the classroom and into their futures.

While statistics like college graduation rates are important, they don’t fully capture the everlasting impact of a Nativity Prep education. The true measure of success is found in the confidence our students carry, the way they uplift others, and the courage with which they embrace new opportunities.

You can’t quantify the feeling of a student standing on stage, heart pounding, ready to belt out a note in front of others, or the pride they feel stepping off a stage after speaking to a packed audience. These are the moments that speak volumes about what Nativity Prep students are becoming—visionaries, changemakers, and individuals unafraid to take up space in the world.

So, the next time you see a Nativity student tapping their feet, humming a tune, or practicing a speech under their breath, know that you are witnessing something profound: the unfolding of potential, the blossoming of self-belief, and the kind of success that can’t be measured by a number but is deeply felt in our students’ hearts and minds.

With gratitude,

Dr. AJ Antun
