During their first semester in college, NPA ’12 graduates Corrinne and Valerye exceeded their educational goals by earning a 4.0.
Corrinne, a freshman student at Notre Dame de Namur, attended The Academy of Our Lady of Peace after graduating from Nativity Prep. At OLP, she contributed regularly to the drama, culinary and Red Cross clubs as well as the community service group KIWIN. As she works diligently towards a degree in sociology, her dream is to one day pursue a career as a therapist for military families and children. “These clubs and organizations (at OLP) helped me prepare for a successful college career because they made me into a well-rounded person,” says Corrinne. “I worked with all kinds of people with different ideals and beliefs, which made me very open-minded.”
Valerye, a rising sophomore at San Jose State University, is also on the path to success. During her time at Cathedral Catholic High School, Valerye took advantage of the school’s many extracurricular activities by joining the American Sign Language and Campus Ministry organizations. She is currently studying international business and plans to become a professional translator. “Nativity Prep helped me succeed in so many ways, and I am eternally grateful for that,” says Valerye. “I am proud to be a part of such a loving and caring community!”
