Nativity Prep Sixth Graders Get Focused with Outside the Lens

Each year, with the generous support of the Nativity Prep Parent Committee and in partnership with Outside the Lens, Nativity Prep sixth graders embark on a journey of personal discovery through the medium of photography.

“Outside the Lens has been a committed partner to us for a number of years,” says Brendan Sullivan, Nativity Prep’s President. “They provide top-notch teachers who come to campus twice a week, over the course of the spring semester, and work directly with our sixth graders to teach them stop-motion photography, studio portraiture, and a variety of other cool tricks of the trade using their cameras.”

The semester-long OTL project culminates each year in a formal exhibition of student work at the OTL gallery at Liberty Station in Point Loma. Parents, family members, teachers, trustees, and mentors attend the spring event, celebrating the unique works of art produced by our sixth-grade artists.

This year, the Nativity Prep OTL exhibition will take place on Friday, June 3, 2016, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Outside the Lens Gallery in Point Loma, 2750 Historic Decatur Road, #103, San Diego 92106. If you’re reading this and have an interest in attending, please do so. No need to RSVP. Hope to see you there!
